Welcome to Under the Cedars Nature School, where children embark on exciting adventures in the great outdoors! Here, we believe in the power of nature to inspire, educate, and nurture young minds. Through play, hands-on activities, and exploration, kids develop essential life skills while forming a deep connection with the land they call home. Join us in fostering creativity, resilience building opportunities and a lifelong love for nature!
Under the Cedars is a drop-off program for children aged 4 to 8 years old and currently takes place on Fridays from 9am to 2pm in and around Noxon, Montana.
We are halfway through our 25/26 school year with Forest School Fridays! We're currently on an extended winter break and plan to reconvene in the Spring
(April 2026). Registration is currently open, but space is limited as we intentionally keep our class sizes small to maximize connection with each other and with nature. A school calendar will be provided once you've enrolled.
Part of our mission at Under the Cedars is to cultivate a village of families who help support their children, the program and each other in a positive and loving way. We are a drop off program but like to include parents when possible as guest educators and honored guests at planned functions during our normal, seasonal sessions. We are still in the beginning stages of building this school and your feedback and suggestions are valuable to us and the future of our program.
